Track your pitch deck. Know which investors are actually interested.
You sent your deck to 60 investors. Most founders can't tell which links were opened, which slides held attention, or whether someone else used the link.
The page-level analytics are the best part because they show real engagement instead of just basic opens.

What you see when an investor opens your deck
Most tools give you one number: opens. HummingDeck shows you the whole behavior, slide by slide, viewer by viewer.
01
Per-slide engagement
From the Starter plan, you see which slides they read and how long on each, not just a binary "opened" flag. Four minutes on the team page reads differently than 30 seconds across the whole deck.
02
Unique viewers
Send a personal link to one investor. If more unique viewers appear on it, the link was opened from another device, location, or person. That can mean internal sharing, but it isn't a record of a forward.
03
Return visits
An investor viewed your deck on Monday, then came back Thursday without you following up. The reason isn't recorded, but a return visit is a good moment to send a relevant update.
04
Bot filtering
VC firms use enterprise email with SafeLinks and Proofpoint, which can open a link before a person does. HummingDeck's three-layer detection keeps known bots and likely scanners out of your view counts. Flagged sessions stay reviewable, and no filter can prove every remaining view is human.
05
Real-time alerts
Get an email when an investor opens your deck. On Pro and Business, Slack also posts a session summary when they finish reading. No dashboard to keep open.

How it works
From upload to engagement in three steps
1
Upload your pitch deck
PDF, PowerPoint, or Google Slides. Drag and drop. Your deck is ready to share in seconds. Attach your financial model (Excel) and other diligence docs alongside it.
2
Create a unique link for each investor
One link per investor. Send it open, or on Pro and Business, ask for an email or restrict it to a verified allowlist. Each link tracks individually.
3
Share and track
Send via email, LinkedIn DM, or warm intro. See what happens in real time. Update your deck anytime, and every existing link automatically serves the latest version.

What one personal link can show you
Send a personal link to one investor. When extra unique viewers appear on it, each with its own location and time on each slide, someone else is using the link. That can be a colleague or the same investor on another device.
HummingDeck counts unique viewers by captured email, browser fingerprint, or IP address, so it shows that another viewer appeared, not why.
Treat extra viewers as a reason to offer context for other reviewers, not as proof that a partner is reviewing.
Investor data room
One link for your entire fundraise
Bundle the deck, financial model, cap table, team bios, and a Calendly booking into one tracked link. Per-investor analytics across the whole packet, not just the deck.
One branded page, one link
Embedded Loom, Calendly, Typeform, Figma, Notion
See time spent on each document, per investor
Replace any document mid-raise without changing the link
You're sending your deck to 50+ investors for the first time. See which links were opened, which slides held attention, and whether another viewer appeared on a link. Time your follow-ups on recorded engagement, not guesswork.
Growth-stage founders
Larger rounds mean more firms evaluating simultaneously. Track engagement across dozens of investor conversations. See which firms are actively reviewing vs. going cold.
M&A advisors and bankers
Share CIMs, teasers, and deal memos with per-page tracking and controlled access. See which buyers opened what, and for how long, before the first call.
Accelerators and scouts
Share portfolio company decks with LPs or co-investors. Track which companies generate the most interest and who's coming back for a second look.
Early-stage founders
You're sending your deck to 50+ investors for the first time. See which links were opened, which slides held attention, and whether another viewer appeared on a link. Time your follow-ups on recorded engagement, not guesswork.
Access control
Pick the access model that matches the stage.
Cold outreach works best with no friction: personal link, no email gate, no login. Confidential late-stage materials, financials, term sheets, the full data room, belong behind an allowlist of verified emails. Choose per share.
Restriction · Low
Anyone with the link
No email, no login. Best for cold outreach where every extra click costs you a view. You still get per-slide analytics and unique-viewer detection.
Plus applicable VAT/tax. Tax is added at checkout. Pricing for businesses. Prices exclude VAT/sales tax, which is calculated at checkout based on your location.
Why founders use HummingDeck as their fundraising data room
By Series A, investors expect more than a deck. A fundraising data room puts your pitch deck, financial model, team page, and customer references behind one branded link, with per-document analytics across the whole package.
Many virtual data rooms put that behind higher-priced plans. HummingDeck includes one Room on the Free plan and three on Starter at $10 a month.
Same per-page tracking, unique-viewer detection, bot filtering. Live in 5 minutes.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do investors need to log in to view my deck?
Investors click the link and view your deck in their browser, with no account or download. If you choose a Restricted link on Pro or Business, they verify their email first.
Should I require email gating?
For a first send, use a unique Open link per investor. Some VCs say publicly that email gates put them off, and a personal link still keeps each investor's activity separate. Save email gates and allowlists for diligence material.
Can I update my deck without resending the link?
Yes. Replace the file and every existing link automatically serves the new version. Investors always see the latest deck.
Can I revoke access after my round closes?
Yes. You can revoke any link at any time on every plan. From Starter, you can also set an expiration date.
How do I know if an investor forwarded my deck?
HummingDeck shows when more than one unique viewer opens a personal link, which can mean it was shared. Viewers are counted by captured email, browser fingerprint, or IP address, so a second viewer can also be the same investor on another device. It isn't a record of a forward.
Is this really free?
Yes. The free plan includes pitch deck tracking with view counts, unique-viewer detection, email alerts, and bot filtering, for up to 5 documents, 5 links, and 1 data room. Per-slide analytics start on Starter at $10 a month. No credit card required.
How is this different from DocSend?
HummingDeck has a permanent free plan with one data room, and paid plans start at $10 a month. Data rooms with 25+ embed providers are on every HummingDeck plan, while DocSend's data rooms start on its Advanced plan. Both have unlimited viewers. See our full comparison for details.
Can I use this for M&A or due diligence documents?
Yes. Share CIMs, deal memos, and teasers with per-page tracking and controlled access. For larger diligence rooms, consider Pro or Business. HummingDeck isn't a formal VDR: it has no per-file permissions, NDA gates, watermarking, or audit exports.
What's the difference between a data room and a deal room?
A data room (also called a virtual data room or VDR) is the standard term for a secure document space used in fundraising and M&A. "Deal room" is sometimes used as a synonym, especially in sales contexts. HummingDeck supports both use cases. For fundraising, founders typically call it a data room.
How fast can I set up a fundraising data room?
Under 5 minutes. Upload your deck, drag in your financials and team docs, generate one link. Share with investors. No configuration, no annual contract.
Can I share my financial model as an Excel file?
Yes. Upload your .xlsx (or legacy .xls) straight into the room and investors view it tab-by-tab in the browser: ARR build, P&L, cohorts, scenarios. Charts and most cell formatting render; conditional formatting such as data bars may not. From Starter, you see time on each tab for each investor link. No need to flatten to PDF first.
What file types can I upload?
PDF, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Google Slides and Docs, and HTML. Decks, financial models, one-pagers, and diligence docs all track the same way.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on the Business plan. Request a subdomain such as docs.yourcompany.com in Workspace settings, and HummingDeck Support completes the setup. Every link and data room then uses that domain.
